Youth Ride - 2nd June - Different start location

We have something different for 2nd June - we will be meeting at Moyles Court School for a route around the western fringes of the New Forest.  Pete Holgate (Archie and Prue's Dad) will be mapping out an interesting route which will be new to most of us.  I'll distribute another email about this next week.

Club Ride - Saturday June 1st

This weeks club ride will be a hilly route in and out of the forest.

Depart form Brockenhurst at 0900 Saturday as usual.

Route will be:
Ornamental Drive, Bolderwood, Fritham, Bramshaw, Wellow, Locklerley, West Tytherley, West Dean, Whiteparish, Lover, Woodgreen, Blissford, Hyde, Moyles Court, REd Shoot, Bolderwood, Brock.

A 60 mile loop. Aiming to do the loop in around 3.5 hours @ 17MPH average.

No chain gang this week as there's an inter club TT Thursday night.

Thursday Night Chain Gang - 23rd May

Chain gang will be running tomorrow night, might be a light shower around but nothing too bad on the forecast.

Depart at 1900 from Brockenhurst for a 45 minute spin around Burley.

Hope to see another good turnout, all welcome.

If you've not tried it don't be afraid, not everybody makes it round in the first group, the pace gradually increases and there are natural splits in the group and smaller groups form as we go round.

Please note that there will be no chain gang on the 30th as there's an inter-club time trial that night.

Apologies for no planning this week, I've just got back from holiday and am prepping for my final PT exams this weekend. Suggest those that want to ride meet at Brockenhurst at 0900 as usual and pick a ride from our wide repertoire.

Club Ride - Saturday 2nd May

This weeks club ride will start from the north of the forest and take in some new roads for us. I'm indebted to Justin Dix for planning the route and hope that there will be a good turnout to support his efforts. The start point will be the Fighting Cocks at Godshill at the usual time of 0900. There is plenty of parking on the other side of the road at the cricket ground and Ashley Walk.

I shall be completing my Personal Trainer course and exams over the next three weeks so would appreciate some volunteers to plan rides on the 11th and 18th May. Feel free to plan different start points as the membership covers a wide area. Perhaps a ride starting in Ringwood and going out into Dorset, another trip up the Test Valley, one west towards Bournemouth? If you feel like having a go please let me know and I'll upload your route to the blog and email alias. Garmin files are optional not compulsory.
