Sunday Club Ride- 30th June 2019

After last week’s fantastic turn-out I will be letting the side down by being absent for the next three Sunday rides, volunteers to ‘lead’ the rides welcome.

Meet at main car park in Brookley Rd, Brockenhurst 8.50 a.m for a 9.00 a.m start.

This week the plan is to ride out of Brockenhurst along Rhinefield Drive, up Bolderwood and then down past Linwood to High Wood lane, through Poulner and along Ringwood lane. From there we turn up Braggers lane before heading to Burley. From Burley we enter Station rd, go up Wilverley rise and down back into into Brockenhurst to complete the 50K route.

Forecast is very pleasant so enjoy..

Club Ride – Saturday 22nd June

After last weeks change of plan we’ll try again to make the coffee stop at Lepe and enjoy views of the IOW as we might be able to see further than 10 metres this week.

Usual meet at 0850 for an 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst.

Out via Bolderwood, Red Shoot, Moyles Court and Stuckton. Then a hilly section up to Godshill, Wood Green and Redlynch. Then head south east to Lepe for a coffee stop at around 80Km.

Suggest bringing some lightweight locks for the café if you have one as the coffee shop is upstairs and out of sight of the bikes. Sure we’ll have enough between us.

Then back around Beaulieu, Bucklers Hard, Sowley, Hatchet Pond and Brock for a total of 115Km.

Pace around 28Kmh depending on who’s out and if any of those who did TINAT or Vätternrundan last week have anything left in their legs for a turn on the front.

Sunday Club Ride 23rd June 2019

Meet as usual at the main car park in Brookley Rd, Brockenhurst 8.50 a.m for a 9.00 a.m start.
This weeks route heads out along the overly familiar Rhinefield Rd. to the A35. We take the grind up the psychologically damaging Bolderwood before turning right downhill towards Emery Down. We pass through the unfailingly hostile enclave of Minstead before crossing the A337 towards Bartley through Woodlands to Ashurst. From here we take Deerlepe lane through Ipley Cross to Beaulieu, returning on Beaulieu rd via Hatchet pond, hopefully for once benefitting from a tail wind
Current forecast is very nice so hope to see a good turnout.

NFCC Sunday Club Ride. 16th June 2019

Meet at main car park in Brookley Rd, Brockenhurst (Opposite the Tesco Express) 8.50 a.m for a 9.00 a.m start.
The first part will be familiar to chain-gang regulars, we go up Rhinefield to the A35, turn left then take care when taking the right turn towards Burley. Before reaching the fleshpots of Burley we turn right onto Forest road then onto Moortown lane. Follow this rd until we arrive at Charles's lane and if it's o.k with him proceed to Ringwood Rd where we head south. Next we turn right onto Harpway lane, then east along Bockhampton and Harrow Rd. Then head north on one of the many imaginatively titled 'Forest rds' before joining the familiar Burley and Pound lane. From Burley it's back on the Chain-gang route into Brock to complete the 49K-ish route.
Forecast is pretty good so look forward to seeing another good turnout. Route downloadable here
