Sunday Club Ride 30th August.

Meet as usual 8.50 for a 9.00A.M start. Brookley Rd Car Park, Brockenhurst.
Covid Protocols are still in place so groups of 6 or less fewer (Barry the pedant correcting Phil), unfortunately still no visitors, guests or joining on route allowed.
As its a bank holiday we are going to take the quietest of our routes and do the busiest bit of that first so it's out of Brock to Beaulieu, then a clock-wise loop around Lepe, back to Beaulieu, then St Leonards, East Boldre and back to Brock for comestibles.
Forecast is quite cool but pleasant so I hope to see a good turnout.

Club Ride – 29th August 2020

This weeks club ride will be on the route that we had planned for last week before the weather intervened. So that’s a 122Km trip to Leckford. Coffee stop will be in the Waitrose Farm Shop at Leckford.

Route at https://www.plotaroute.com/route/1250811?units=km

No change to the British Cycling regulations at time of writing so that means we will need to maintain the protocols that have been in place for the last few weeks.

So please be at the start for 0850 so we can get into groups of 6 or fewer for a 0900 depart.

Ensure you’ve got an appropriate face covering for the coffee shop.

Unfortunately, it still means no non-members or visitors or new joiners once we have left the start.

Club Ride – Saturday 22nd August - CHANGE OF PLAN

No change to the British Cycling Covid 19 guidelines so we will keep with the same protocols that we’ve been observing the past few weeks. Unfortunately, that still means members only and no guests or visitors. Hopefully we’ll get some relaxation in the conditions soon.

There are high winds forecast for this Saturday that are not conducive for peloton style riding so this weeks club ride will be off road. The forecast is worse in the Brockenhurst are than the north where we were heading but we do go on some very exposed roads and the risk of high gusts is not one we should be taking.

Same time and location for meeting to get into groups. 0850 in the Brookley Road car park. We have enough knowledge of routes on the marked paths to agree a plan on the day for a route and coffee depending on who’s there.

Club Ride – Saturday 15th August

Forecast this week is for some thundery showers from early afternoon so plan to have a shorter club ride this week to give everybody time to get home before the weather breaks. And if the weather turns out better than forecast we can always add another loop on the end.

There is still no change to the British Cycling Covid 19 guidance this week so we will stick with the same protocols we have observed in recent weeks. Alas, this still means no non members, guests or visitors. We will stick with groups of 6 or fewer, change the order frequently and keep to the social distancing guidelines.

Please be at the start for 0850 so we can sort ourselves into groups. Thanks for your cooperation with this as it’s very disruptive to have riders arriving at the last minute and having to re-sort groups.

Route will be an 80Km / 3 hour loop

Plan to stop just halfway for a quick coffee stop at the Community Shop in Wood Green so please remember face covering / mask.

Sunday Club Ride – 9th August 2020

Meet as usual 8.50 for a 9.00A.M start.
This weeks 50K route Mt Bolderwood-RedShute-Poulner-Braggers-Burley then back to Brock for Forenoons or Bouffage.
No change at time of writing to the British Cycling guidelines so we’re still constrained to the conditions that we’ve been riding to the last few weeks. Thanks to everybody for their co-operation so far.
So that still means groups of 6 or fewer, no riders to join en-route and members only. And it goes without saying if you have any symptoms of Covid 19 don’t ride.
Please be at the start for 0850 so we can get organised into groups.
Forecast is Scorchio so don't forget cold drinks and suncream, Look forward to another great turnout.

Club Ride – Saturday 8th August

No change at time of writing to the British Cycling guidelines so we’re still constrained to the conditions that we’ve been riding to the last few weeks. Thanks to everybody for their co-operation so far.

Route is posted here: https://www.plotaroute.com/route/1233669?units=km

Coffee stop will be at around 85Km at the new community shop in Minstead. Please ensure you have a mask for entering the shop.

The is an option to cut the ride a little shorter at the top of Bolderwood for those that wish but even for those doing the whole distance that should give enough time to get home to watch Milan San Remo.
