Forecast this week is much better than recent so back to normal start time, 0900, so please meet at 0850 for an 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst. Appreciate everyone making an effort to get to the start on time as with the ever increasing numbers it helps to be able to split us into smaller groups for our safety and to minimise the disruption to other road users.
We’re still constrained by the A35 / Holmsley roadworks so will use the quieter roads to the east of the region.

Route is a little longer, 86Km than the last couple and weather permitting I’ll continue to make each week a little longer and harder as we build base fitness. Expected pace will be around 26-27KmH this time of year.
Given the weather it may be feasible to schedule a quick coffee stop in Beulieu. We’ll judge the weather and the mood of the ride and decide on the day whether to take that option. Post ride the Setley Ridge Café on the A337 just south of Brock seems a popular place for those riding on or wanting to refuel post ride.

New route this week icluding the thrilling opportunity to try out the new junction at Ipley Cross. I
If tha's not exciting enough I thought we could go to the Setley Ridge garden centre cafe at the (nearly) end for a change. We tried it last week on the Saturday ride and I can report good coffee and excellent cakes/ tea cakes.

Weather forecast for Saturday gives an unwelcome risk of ice early on so this weeks ride will be a late start. As with the January plan we’ll be keeping it to a short 80Km / 3 hour non-stop format. Option for coffee post ride at Setley Ridge as provide popular with riders last week.

This weeks route takes us out north for a there and back ride of 55K.
Forecast is chilly but light winds so not too bad.
Quick reminder that memberships are due for renewal unless you joined the club late last year in which case your membership rolls over. Weather forecast is much better than last week so it’s back to normal for a winter club ride this week. Keeping the distance down to around 80Km / 3 hours for the early season rides. Ride is planned to be non-stop so no mid ride coffee stop planned but options in Brock at ride end for those that want to. Route will take us north and east and hopefully avoiding the traffic caused by the Holmsley / A35 road closures.

Conditions this Saturday are not conducive to a peloton style ride so it’s off-road utilising the marked cycle paths in the forest.

Planned route is 63km, with a bail out option at 47km. Bring snacks, as there will be no cafe stop on route (Although I hope to have a Cake stop at the end, weather permitting).
