Sunday Club Ride 29th May 2022

Meet as usual in Brookley rd car park at 8.50 for a 9.00A.M start

This weeks route heads North to Landford an returns via Pipers wait. Should be nice gentle tailwind helping us home.

Vittles back in Brock at The Terrace cafe.

Club Ride Saturday 28th May 2022

Meet at 0850 for a 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst as usual. This week’s ride will head north out of the forest and have a mid-ride coffee stop at the Community Shop in Broad Chalke

Route is relatively short this week at 103Km but there will be a longer one next Saturday with a tour of the New Forest Airfields to commemorate the D-Day anniversary. Details will be published shortly. This weeks route at:

Club Ride Saturday 21st May 2022

Meet at 0850 for a 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst as usual. This week’s ride will head north out of the forest and have a mid-ride coffee stop at the Waitrose shop in Longstock at around 64Km. Total ride distance in 121Km and quite hilly in contrast to last week’s flatter ride.

Sunday Club Ride 22nd May 2022


Meet as usual in Brookley Rd car park, Brockenhurst at 8.50 for a 9.00A.M start.

This weeks route takes us out past Hatchet pond to do the Ipley Cross loop before returning past Beaulieu to do a Souther St Leonards loop. We return to Brock and if folk can face the short steep hill up past the church will head to Setley Ridge cafe for vittles.

My weather forecasting proved to be well off the mark last week but undaunted I am still promising a lovely Sunday morning. 

I'm still testing positive for covid at the mo' but if I get the single red line go-ahead by then I hope to see you there.

Sunday Club Ride 15th May 2022

Meet as usual in Brookley Rd Car Park, Brockenhurst at 8.50 for a 9.00A.M start.

Route takes us out to the A35, West through Burley and Crow then a southern loop around Bransgore before returning to Burley and back via Forest Rd and Rhinefield.

Meet at 0850 for a 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst as usual. A less hilly ride than last week which will suit some better. Planned route 115Km. Coffee stop scheduled for Steff’s Kitchen in Beaulieu at around 76Km

Meet as usual in Brookley Rd car park, Brockenhurst at 8.50 for a 9.00A.M start.

As the forecast is so good we'll take a slightly longer route out to the northern wastelands of Nomansland and back via Mount Pipers wait.

Meet at 0850 for a 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst as usual. 

Ride to the north of the forest and a few loops around the north of the area. Total distance 115Km. Going to be a hilly route so pace might be a little slower than recent weeks

Chain Gang – Thursday 5th May

Two notes for this weeks chain gang

From this week and for all of May 1845 start

Given the situation with the roadworks around Holmsley we’ll use the B3055 course between Roundhill campsite and Hatchet Pond. Start point will be the junction of the B3055 and the road to the campsite. Plan for 3 repeats of the route and around 45 minutes as last week.
