Meet as usual in Brookley rd car park at 8.50 a.m for a 9.00 a.m start

Options a bit limited this week as we need to avoid the Steam Fair at Burley and the Drift in East Boldre. So heading to the grim northern badlands....Nomansland to be precise.

Club Ride 30th September 2023

 

Usual meet at 0850 for a 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst. This week’s ride a 120Km meander all within the forest with a planned coffee stop at the community shop in Minstead at around 70Km.

After last week’s rather autumnal weather expect to see more winter jerseys, arm warmers and gilets coming out of hibernation. 

Hoping for a mechanical free week without any malfunctioning Di2, cranky cranks, spoke breaks or wonky mudguards. But we will be welcoming Phil H back so always a chance of something new and original disintegrating.

Usual meet at 0850 for a 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst. This week a ride north out of the forest with a new coffee stop.

Sunday Club Ride 17th September 2023

Meet as usual in Brookley Rd car park at 8.50 a.m for a 9.00 a.m start.
There is a mass cycling event in the forest this weekend. I have selected a route that avoids most but not all of that so expect to see higher numbers of cyclists on the roads.

I have arranged for a tailwind finish back to Setley ridge cafe where the ride finishes.
Current forecast is pretty uninspiring with a risk of thunderstorms so keep an eye out here in case we need to cancel.

Club Ride 16th September 2023

 

Usual meet at 0850 for a 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst. This week a shorter than average 114Km route. There are sportives in the forest both days this weekend and route is designed to keep us out of their way as much as possible and where we do share the road to be going in the opposite direction. Plan is to ride north to the Chalke Valley, coffee stop at the community shop in Broad Chalke and return via the west of the forest. Route is at:
