Club Rides Saturday 7th JUne
Keeping the routes flexible this week in case the weather
worsens. Current forecast for light showers but the forecast is improving so
let’s hope for a good day Saturday
Start point is the main car park in Brookley Road
Brockenhurst (opposite Tesco). Depart 0900 sharp so please be there for 0850
This weeks club rides are as follows:
A ride
Brockenhurst, Burley, Lyndhurst Road, Bolderwood, Emery
Down, Minstead, Bartley, Woodlands, Colbury, Beaulieu (coffee stop), East
Boldre.
Norleywood, Pilley, Sway, Brock.
Option to cut short from Beaulieu to Brockenhurst if
weather is bad.
Route is 60 miles, target pace 18MPH

B/C rides
Brockenhurst, Burley left at the Queens Head, Braggers
Lane, Crow, Poulner. Then option to take short route to Brock via Red Shoot and
Bolderwood or add additional loop around Ogdens and Hyde
Target pace B ride 15-16MPH, C ride 14-15MPH

Thursday night chain gang - 5th June
Chain gang on as usual Thursday night. 1900 start. Usual meet point outside St Saviours Church in Brockenhurst (Burley Road).
Appreciate
some feedback as to whether riders want to alternate in the summer
months with the Janesmoor Pond / Ocknells Plain back and forward course
we used last year. Let me know via email or on Thursdays if you want to
add that course into the summer programme.

Club "B" and "C" rides Saturday 31st May
This weeks B and C rides will follow the following route:

Brockenhurst, Bolderwood, Moyles Court, Sandy Balls, Roger Penney Way, Fritham, Bolderwood, Brock. Pace to be 16MPH B ride, 14 MPH C ride.

Club "A" ride Saturday 31st May
As is our plan for the summer months the last ride of the month
will be a day ride.
Thanks to Neil for the route.
Plan is as follows:
Start point Burley Cricket Ground 0900 Saturday
Distance from Burley to Burley will be 94 miles and we will
aim to keep the pace to circa 16MPH average. We will stop for lunch in Lulworth
around 1215. Return to Burley 1630 ish at a guess, lunch, punctures, chain
ferry dependant.
Bring money for lunch and ferry and clothing for the unexpected
as we’re a long way form home.

Club Rides - Monday 26th May not Saturday 24th May
Having looked at the weather forecast and the fact we have a
bank holiday weekend I propose that the club rides are moved to Monday 26th
this week.
Start time and place will be at our usual spot in the car
park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst.
A ride is 63 miles at 18MPH with an option to add another 10
by making the return via Burley. Coffee stop will be after 45 miles in
Beaulieu.
It’s basically a loop of the forest, Brockenhurst,
Bolderwood, Moyles Court, Sandy Balls, Wood Green, Nomansland, Ashurst,
Beaulieu, Bucklers Hard, Brock.
B/C rides are also a loop of the northern part of the forest,
