Club Ride – Saturday 5th January – Off road

New year same problems. The weather gods are not being kind on Saturdays so with a forecast of a very hard frost Saturday morning this weeks club ride will be off road.

Suggest meeting at Standing Hat car park, Balmer Lawn, Brockenhurst for a 1000 depart. That will give those riding to the start a chance to get to the start in safer conditions.

We’ll make up route on the fly depending on who’s out and the conditions. Probably an hour or so within the woods between Brock, Beaulieu and Lyndhurst and then decide on where to go afterwards based on conditions.

NFCC Sunday Club ride. January 6th 2019

Who ate all the pies?, We all did so it's time to get back in shape.
Meet at main car park in Brookley Rd, Brockenhurst (Opposite the Tesco Express) 8.50 a.m for a 9.00 a.m start.
This week the plan is to head out on the Beaulieu Rd to Hatchet pond, turn south for a loop passing through East Boldre before returning to pass through Beaulieu. We head up Palace lane before turning right onto Exbury lane and towards Lepe, from here through Langley and Blackfield before heading back towards Beaulieu along Rollestone Rd. Returning to Brock on the Beaulieu rd.
Current forecast is cold but otherwise not too bad. Will be worth keeping an eye out for the forecast nearer the time in case it dips below an acceptable level and there is a risk of ice. Hope to set a good precedent for 2019 with a good turnout.

Club Ride – Saturday 29th December

Looks like a fine but cold ride this week. Keeping it relatively short as we’re still in the early part of base training for most riders and also to suit those who’s events don’t necessitate rides longer than 3 hours. Those that wish can always add more mileage after the coffee stop.
Plan for Saturday is the usual 0850 meet and 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst. Out via Balmer Lawn and a loop around East Boldre, Sowley and back to Beulieu. Then North Road, Ipley Cross, Ashurst, Woodlands, Bartley, Nomansland, Fritham, Bolderwood and back to Brock. Coffee stop at Sett’s in Brockenhurst.
Winter pace, nice easy spin to burn off some of the Christmas excess.

Sunday Club Ride 30th December 2018

Time to work off a few of those excess pounds before piling them back on over new year.

Meet at main car park in Brookley Rd, Brockenhurst 8.50 a.m for a 9.00 a.m start.

This weeks ride leaves via Burley rd then turns towards Sway then Pitmore lane, Sway rd before meeting the A337 just north of Lymington. We cross the road after a short time up to Boldre, Pilley and then Norleywood. Then North to East Boldre, South to St Leonards before heading South once more towards Beaulieu. From here we take the Beaulieu rd back into Brockenhurst for the 50K route.

I'm away again this Sunday so if someone could download the route that would be great.

Forecast is cold bur fair.

Sunday Club Ride- 23rd December 2018

Time to burn some calories in anticipation of the seasonal gluttony.
Meet at main car park in Brookley Rd, Brockenhurst 8.50 a.m for a 9.00 a.m start.
This week the plan is to ride out of Brockenhurst along Rhinefield Drive, up Bolderwood and then down past Linwood to High Wood lane, through Poulner and along Ringwood lane. From there we turn up Braggers lane before heading to Burley. From Burley we enter Station rd, go up Wilverley rise and down back into into Brockenhurst to complete the 50K
Forecast is o.k which is all we can really ask for at this time of year so I hope to see another good turnout.
Seasonal fancy dress is optional*
*don't
Alas I will be away this sunday so if someone can download the route that would be great.
Course is downloadable here.

Club Ride – Saturday 15th December

Unfortunately, the Saturday weather forecast is going to defeat us again. Tomorrows forecast is heavy rain and high winds to not conducive for a club ride.
So, plan B is to support Septugenarian Sunday and join the other ride. I’m sure that everybody will appreciate the extra horsepower on the front but please remember it will be Sunday pace not Saturday pace.
