Rhinefield Road in Brockenhurst is being resurfaced this week and as of tonight covered in loose chippings so not suitable for the chain gang this week. So weather permitting we will move the chain gang to the alternative course up and down the old airfield road across Ocknells Plain so plenty of chance to practice riding efficiently against the wind.
Meeting place will be at the car park at Janesmoor Pond where the ice cream van normally is. This is between Fritham and Stony Cross.
This course offers a different opportunity as any riders that get dropped can wait for the group to turn around and then jump on the back again as there will be 6 or 8 runs down the 2.5 mile road.
Start time can move back to 1845 this week.
I’ll confirm plan by Thursday morning once we have a weather forecast close to the time.
