Club Ride Saturday 27th June

Tomorrows club ride will be led by the two Phil's as after an accident on Thursday I am going to be off the bike for a long while

The “A” ride will be a 100K circuit with a few options to cut short if you wish

Depart will be 0900 from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst. Please arrive for 0850.

Route will be:

Brockenhurst, Burley, Braggers Lane, Poulner, North Gorley, Ogdens, Hyde, Stuckton, Fordingbridge, Braemore, Wood Green, Roger Penney Way, Furzey, Newbridge, Bartley, Minstead, Bolerwood, A35, Lyndhurst Road, Burley (probable coffee stop at the Queens Head), Brockenhurst

100K at 28KMH average will be the target pace

Club "A" ride Saturday 20th June

This weeks club ride will be shorter than those of late but with an option to join Phil and I for some extra hills as we’re getting into our last training block for the Etape Du Tour.

Main route will be:

Brockenhurst, Bolderwood, Moyles Court, Stuckton, Blissford, Hyde, Poulner, Braggers Lane, Burley and back to Brock via Setthorns and the newly opened Marlpit Oak Road (hooray).

That will be around 66K and around 2.5 hours at a target pace of 28KMH.

Then there will be an optional ride back over Bolderwood to Moyles Court and back to add some hills and possibly another loop to Emery Down.

No plans for coffee stop as its a shorted ride but plenty of choices back at the finish point.

Depart from Brock at 0900 so please aim to be at the start for 0850

This weeks ride is just over 100K with a couple of options to cut short if you wish.

I won’t be there this week as I’ve a race on Sunday so have kept the route to ones that should be familiar:

Brockenhurst, depart from main car park in Brookley Road at 0900

Out via Burley Road, Setthorns, Pitmore Lane, Pilley, East End, Sowley, Buckles Hard, Beaulieu, Hill Top, Exbury, Lepe, Calshot, Hilltop, Dibden Purlieu.

Just past half way when you hit the old Roman Road so good place for a bar stop.

Iplex Cross, Beaulieu Road, Lyndhurst, Ashurst, Woodlands, Bartley, Minstead, Emery Down, Bolderwood and back to Brock for 104K

Club "A" ride - Saturday 6th June 2015

This weeks A ride is a 105 Km two loop ride around the forest with a refreshement stop courtesy of Phil Harris in celebration of his 50th birthday.

Depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst at 0900.

Ride out through Balmer Lawn to Hatchet Pond and then East Boldre, Pilley, Setthorns, White Buck, Bolderwood, Red Shoot, Ogdens, Blissford, Wood Green and then to Phil’s in Bramshaw at around 1200 and 82K.

Probable route back via Ocknells Plain and Bolderwood to Brock for 105K, target pace a little slower than last week (sorry) and try to keep to 28KMH.

Thursday Night Chain Gang - 4th June 2015

Start time for the chain gang will now be 1900 until the end of July

1 loop of the Burley loop, if the group is large like last week we will split into smaller packs to be easier for cars to pass

Last week at least 3 riders turned into the start without signalling when being followed by cars (both left and right turners). Can you please ensure that you show consideration for drivers when pulling into the start point.
