Bit of a change to the normal club ride
this week. Hopefully most members will have seen the Club Ride of the Week
feature in Cycling Weekly. This week we will be joined by Jack Elton-Walters
from CW as they will be featuring NFCC’s club ride.
All members welcome to join the ride
even if you’re not regulars of the Saturday ride. If possible, please come in
club kit (and shaved legs, razor sharp tan lines etc) as there will be photos.
We have some logistical challenges in
that Jack needs to get back to Romsey for 1100 so this will mean an early start
in order to give him time to take photos, complete interviews etc. To help with
this we will depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst
(behind Sainsburys at 0730 sharp.
We will repeat the ride of two weeks ago
so riders can join for either part 1, part 2 or both.
Out via Rhinefield, Bolderwood, Red
Shoot, Alice Lisle, Poulner, Crow, Braggers, Burley, Setthorns, Pilley, East Bolder
Hatchet Pond and back to Brock for coffee at Setley Ridge after 70K. So expect
to be there around 1000. Target pace will be around 28KMH depending on
who is out
We did this loop couple of weeks ago in
2 hours 25 and there are options to cut short in case of any mechanical
problems.
That route stored at:
Second loop another 65K, Setthorns,
Brock, Bolderwood, Emery Down, Minstead, Bartley, Woodlands, Ashurst, Colbury,
Beaulieu and Brock

Regards
Barry
