The run of bad weather on Saturdays continues. Risk of ice
tomorrow means no club road ride. Best option will be for a gravel ride but
keeping within the enclosure between Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst and Beaulieu. Plan
B is for a gravel ride but keeping it within the enclosure. Delayed start also
seems pragmatic.
So the plan is to meet at Standing Hat car park just off
Balmer Lawn at 0950 for a 1000 depart. Then different loops around the
enclosure keeping to the gravel. That way we should minimise the ice risk.
Pace will be steady and sympathetic to those with MTB’s
rather than cross / gravel bikes. Also pace kept to a level to keep riders warm
but not getting sweaty.
