Another week without a coach on this weeks ride as I'm on a Personal
Training course this weekend. Hopefully learning more new and innovative
ways to make everybody suffer/improve!
Plan for this week is a 70 mile circuit starting form Brockenhurst at
0900 with an option to start from Ashurst at 1020 for those that are
saving their legs for Sundays first club TT and want a shorter ride.
Route is as follows:
Brockenhurst, (St Saviours Church), Sway Road (past Primary School),
Sway War Memorial, Pitmore Lane, Boldre, Pilley, Bull Hill, Norleywood,
East End, Lodge Lane, Beaulieu, Ipley Cross, Colbury, Ashurst (my
estimate is that rides will be at Ashurst around 1020), Woodlands,
Calmore, Hill Street, East Wellow, Black Hill Road, Furzley, (short cut
back to Ashurst via Newbridge if required), Bramshaw, Fritham,
Bolderwood, A35, (short cut to Brock via Rhinefield Road if required),
Burley Lawn, White Buck, Station Cafe, Wilverley, Brock.
Depending on size of group and numbers please split into groups, A group(s) aim for 17MPH average, B group 15-16.
Try and practice through and off drills between Roger Penney Way and the
end of Ocknells Plain. It's the best way of managing the wind up there
and good practice for the Chain Gang which will return next month.
