This weeks club ride will start from the Station House Cafe at Holmsley
at 0900 sharp. Please be at the cafe and ready to ride at 0850 for ride
briefing and to get into the right group. With the numbers riding it has
been necessary to split into 3 groups so we'll probably do the same on
Saturday.
The B group will go at a slightly slower pace than the A groups, about 16MPH instead of 17MPH.
The core route is 50 miles as follows:
Station Cafe, Setthorns, Sway War Memorial, Boldre, Pilley, Norleywood,
East End, Sowley, Bucklers Hard, Beaulieu, Exbury, Lepe, Calshot,
Fawley, Blackfield, Exbury, Beaulieu, Brockenhurst, Station Cafe.
Please ensure that you check your tyres and have two spare tubes as I
believe they've been hedge cutting out near Bucklers Hard so there may
be debris left on the road. Also, please keep an eye on other members in
your group as one newbie rider got left at the side of the road with a
puncture last week, this is OK on a chain gang but not our protocol on
group rides.
As well s the space outside the cafe there is a large car park just up the road at Goatspen.
I'd appreciate some volunteers to act as ride leaders who know the route. I will bring maps / directions to assist.
Hope to see another strong turnout on Saturday.
Regards
Barry
Congratulations to all that rode today, might only have been a dozen of you but that was a hard day for a long ride.

Thanks Barry, but there seems to be some kind of problem with the garmin file, i click it and it just says the site is down for maintenance yet I can add long+hilly to my 800 but not this one? Please fix it if possible as this would be a lovely route for a sunny day.
