Club Ride Saturday 28th January



Forecast says that the rain should clear before the start of the ride, so plan this week is for a standard winter ride of around 80K in 3 hours.

Meet at the main car park in Brookley Road Brockenhurst at 0850 for 0900 depart.

Out via Rhinefield, Bolderwood, cross the airfield at Ocknells Plain, Bramble Hill, Furzey, Newbridge, Bartley, Woodland, Ashurst, Colbury, Ipley Cross and Beaulieu.

Optional coffee stop at Steff’s Kitchen in Beaulieu or at the end in Brockenhurst.

Finish ride via Bucklers Hard, Norleywood, Pilley.

Having looked at the BBC weather forecast for Saturday it looks like the temperatures will still be below freezing at 0900 so the safe option is not to have a group ride.

Just a reminder that there is no turbo session in Brockenhurst this week as the hall in unavailable. Normal service resumes on the 26th and for those subscribed in Training Peaks there is a session to do at home.

Club Ride – Saturday 14th January


This week we’ll follow one of our well used routes to the east of the region.
Usual depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst. Meet at 0850 for 0900 depart.

Out via Sway Road, Pitmore Lane, Pilley, Norleywood, Sowley, Bucklers Hard, Beaulieu, Lepe, Exbury.
Return via Roman Road, Applemore, Ipley Cross, Beaulieu Road, Lyndhurst, Emery Down, Bolderwood and Brock. Option for coffee stop back at Brockenhurst at Rosie Lea’s in Setley Ridge or if quiet Rosie Lea’s in the village centre

Total distance just over 80K.

Club Ride – Saturday 7th Jan


First ride of the new year and we’ll kick off with a fairly standard 80K / 3 hour ride around the forest.

Usual meet at 0850 for 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst (behind Sainsbury’s).

Out via Rhinefield, Bolderwood, Red Shoot, Fordingbridge to Whitsbury where we’ll turn for home. Back via Rockbourne, Sandleheath, Harbridge, Poulner, Crow, Braggers, Burley and Brock.

For anybody looking for a slightly shorter ride option to return to Brock via Red Shoot, Bolderwood.

Coffee stop either in Burley if riders are splitting off there or at Rosie Lea’s in Setley Ridge.

Steady 25/26Kmh pace.
