Club Ride – Saturday 29th July

Plenty of events going on this weekend so expecting a smaller group than in previous weeks. This week’s club ride is a 110km ride to the north. 

Meet at 0850 for 0900 departure from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst.

Route is out via Rhinefield, Bolderwood, Red Shoot, Ogdens, Hyde, Fordingbridge, Whistbury Road, Braemore, Wood Green, Hale, Redlynch, Whiteparish, Dean, West Tythlerly, East Tytheley, Dunbridge and Kimbridge for a coffee stop at Annie’s Tea Room, brought to my attention at least by Phil G.
Return leg via Awbridge, Shootash, then once back in the Forest, Blackhill, Bramshaw, over the airfield, Bolderwood, Rhinfield, Brock.
In all, 110km with an opportunity to cut the ride short and return to Brock via Redlynch little shy of 50km for those wanting a shorter ride.

Thursday Night Chain Gang - 27th July

Usual plan tonight, New Forest Show traffic should be clear by the time we start but be prepared for a little more traffic that usual. Depart from outside St Saviours Church, Burley Road, Brockenhurst at 1900.

Next week and for all of August start time will be 1845

Club Ride – Saturday 22nd July

This weeks club ride will be a two lap ride. As we have riders competing in Ride London next week and wanting to taper for the event this will give them the option of a shorter ride at the normal pace.  Lap 1 will be a 70Km loop back to Rosie Leas at Setley Ridge for coffee. Then a second loop back over Bolderwood for those wanting a longer ride and more hills.

Usual meet at 0850 for 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst.

Lap 1 out via Burley Road, Setthorns, Pilley, East End, Sowley, Bucklers Hard, Beaulieu, Lepe, Calshot, Blackfield, Exbury, Beaulieu and return to Rosie Leas.

Lap 2 Brockenhurst, Rhinefield, Bolderwood, Red Shoot, Moyles Court, Ogdens and return via the same road or via Poulner and Crow for anybody wanting to get back to the south of our area. Lap 2 an additional 60Km

Pace depending on who’s out and who’s on the front but probably average about 28-29KmH

Club Ride – Saturday 17th July

Thanks very much to Phil and Rob for taking care of things whilst I was away.

Plan for this week is a 92K loop around the forest and taking in a coffee stop at the new Café Velo in Ringwood.

Usual meet at 0850 for 0900 depart from the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst.

Out via Balmer Lawn, Beaulieu, Ipley Cross, Ashurst, Woodlands, Bartley, Nomansland and Redlynch. Return via Godshill, Fordingbridge and onto the coffee stop in Ringwood. Then back to Brock via Burley.
