Forecast for this week is for a few showers so planning on keeping the plan a little bit flexible. Core ride will just be a 88Km loop around the forest with a coffee stop in Burley at 76Km. As we’re all aware road cycling has it’s dangers and also members of the public that do not share our passion and occasionally have a mis match between their opinion and the Highway Code. So, for our protection the committee have purchased a pair of cameras for use on club rides and chain gangs.
This will provide us with evidence if we ever have an accident with a vehicle and also if there are complaints about club rides evidence of how the group was riding.
I’ll ask one of you to take the rear camera each week.
As a welcome side benefit it will also provide us with evidence if we’re not riding in a good formation. So please keep the lines as straight as your cycle tan lines will be after this weekend or my next request to the committee will be to purchase a taser for anybody not keeping the line straight 😀
