Not a great weather forecast for this Saturday so plan to
keep the ride close to home in case we need to make changes during the ride. No
obvious risk of ice / frost so usual 0850 meet for 0900 depart from the main
car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst. Please have lights and if possible
something hi-vis on as visibility probably not the best on Saturday.
Out via Balmer Lawn to Hatchet Pond. Loop around East
Boldre, Sowley, Bucklers Hard to Bealieu. Second loop around Hill Top, Exbury,
Lepe, Blackfield, Exbury, Beaulieu. Back through East Boldre, Norleywood,
Pilley and drop into Mabels Café in Shallowmead Nursery for coffee. Should be plenty
of room inside if its cold and wet. Finish by another loop around Sway, Burley,
Lyndhurst Road, Ornamental Drive and back to Brock fior a total of 93Km but
plenty of opportunities to cut the ride short for anybody that wants a shorter
ride.
Pace will be kept steady, not a day for anybody to be
getting hot and sweaty.
