Club Ride – Saturday 4th January

Looks promising for a pleasant start to the year for the club rides this weekend.

Will be keeping the rides short(ish) for the start of the winter and then those who want the mega mileage can make a plan at the coffee stop.

Usual meet at the main car park in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst at 0850 for an 0900 depart.

Out via Ten Bends and across Setthorns. Sway War Memorial, Boldre, Pilley, Norleywood and loop around Sowley, Bucklers Hard to Beaulieu. Onto North Road, Ipley Cross, Ashurst, Woodlands, Bartley, Copythorne, Newbridge, Bramshaw and up to Roger Penny Way. Pass through Fritham, Janesmoor Pond and if the weather is like today into a block headwind across the airfield. Back to Bolderwood and down to the A35. Those wanting a (slightly shorter – 77Km) ride can cross straight over and head back to Brock and the coffee stop at Setts. The rest can take in the chain gang loop via Burley for 88Km.

With Phil Harris having manflu somebody else can take a turn at being first in the queue for coffee.
